State of the Lake Fisheries: Public Meeting

The State of the Lake Fisheries meeting is an opportunity for agency staff and others to provide updates on the status and trends of the fisheries in Lake Champlain and to hear directly from anglers. 

The public meeting is open to anglers, and anyone interested in Lake Champlain’s fisheries.

When: Saturday, March 15, 2025, 9:00am-1:00pm

Public Hearing on Updates to State Deer, Moose, Turkey, and Importation Rules

When: May 6, 2025 - 6:30pm-9:00pm

Where: Winooski Middle & High School, 60 Normand St., Winooski, VT | Map

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Board is inviting public comment on proposed changes to Vermont’s white-tailed deer, moose and turkey hunting regulations, as well as the rules for transporting wild game meat from out of state.

The department will accept public comment on the proposed updates to turkey season, moose season, deer season, and cervid carcass importation rules, found here, via email to ANR.FWPublicComment@vermont.gov

Five public hearings will be held around the state. Public comment will be accepted until May 25, 2025.
