Saturday, January 25, 2025 is Vermont’s free ice fishing day - a day when anyone, resident or nonresident, may go fishing in Vermont without a fishing license.

Are you new to fishing? Come to our FREE Ice Fishing Festival! Vermont Fish & Wildlife staff will be there to help everyone, young and old, learn how to enjoy this unique and popular type of fishing.

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Board is holding a special meeting to review recommendations from the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department on trapping and on hunting coyotes with the aid of dogs.

The virtual meeting will take place at 5:00 pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023. 

All board meetings are open to the public online and in-person.  Details are provided in the agenda posted to the department’s website.
