Vermont’s Comprehensive Deer Management Review Plan
Regional Working Groups
Three regional deer management working groups have been formed to provide input to the Fish & Wildlife Department and Fish and Wildlife Board on deer management issues of importance to hunters throughout Vermont. The role of each regional working group is to illicit and interpret deer hunter input regarding current season structures and harvest regulations for the regions they represent.
Regional working groups are based on Wildlife Management Units ) with similar habitats and deer densities, and correspond to the Lake Plains and Western Foothills, Eastern Central and Eastern Foothills, and the Green Mountains Units and the Northeast Kingdom. Click for larger view of map ».
An email account has been created to provide the public with the opportunity to submit input directly to the regional working group members.
Each regional working group is comprised of Vermonters with an interest in Vermont’s deer and deer management. These members were selected after submitting an application to the department detailing their experience and interest in Vermont’s deer and deer management.
