Youth Hunting Programs: Lifelong Pursuit

Youth Waterfowl Days

  • WHEN: 9/25/10 through 9/26/10
  • WHERE: Statewide
  • WHO: Anyone under 16 years of age, and who has successfully completed a hunter education course. The youth hunter must be accompanied by an adult, 18 years or older, who is also properly licensed to hunt in Vermont. The adult cannot hunt waterfowl or posses a firearm while a field.
  • LICENSE REQUIREMENT: Valid hunting license
  • LIMIT: Ducks, geese, mergansers and coots can be taken in accordance with the daily bag limits and hunting regulations.
  • NEED TO KNOW: The Federal Migratory Bird Hunting Stamp (aka the Duck Stamp) is not required.
  • NICE TO KNOW: This is probably your best chance in Vermont to take blue wing teal, wood ducks, and other fair weather ducks.
