QUESTIONS and ANSWERS - 2009 Antlerless Deer Muzzleloader Permits

Q. Last year, these were based on a daily lottery draw. Do I have to wait for a daily draw this year?

A. No, this year they are available on a first come first serve basis. You will complete the application form and print your permit immediately. A confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address.

Q. I received my permit, but it's on a sheet of paper. How do I use it?

A. Sign the permit where indicated to validate it. We suggest you put clear tape over the tag portion to protect it, or laminate it with clear plastic. Cut out the tag portion and punch a hole in it to attach string in order to tag the antlerless deer.

Q. Can a person who applied in the lottery and did not get a permit now apply for an unallocated permit?

A. Yes, all unallocated WMU permits are available. Simply fill out an application and submit it. Permits are available on a first come first serve basis.

Q. Can a person who received an antlerless permit in the lottery for one WMU now apply for a second permit in an unallocated WMU? A. Yes, once a person has filled the original permit (harvested one antlerless deer); they may obtain a second permit for an unallocated WMU. Note, there is a 3 DEER per year LIMIT.
