How does your catch measure up to those of others?

How do I enter a state record fish?
  1. Check the All Time Records database to see how your fish measures up to the largest recorded fish.
  2. Fill out a Vermont State Record Fish Entry Form, available at Fish & Wildlife offices statewide and from state Game Wardens or download a copy from our website
  3. Entry Rules
    • Fish must be weighed on state inspected scales, any market scales are suggested.
    • Length and girth measurements and a photo of the fish are required.
    • The body of water where the fish was caught must be listed.
    • A department fisheries biologist must inspect the fish.
    • The fish must be fresh or frozen when inspected. Mounted fish will not do.
    • Entry forms and photo must be submitted within six months of the capture date.
