WHITE-TAILED DEER MANAGEMENT
Deer Sighting Survey

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department is seeking your observations to help gauge this winter’s impact on the deer herd and what we might expect to see next fall. There are reasons to think that the herd in general should fair relatively well this winter, such as overall good autumn body condition in 2007 and minimal use of deer yards the past 2 winters. However, with much snow this winter, we expect above average winter severity for deer, and this is always cause for concern. Because we must make such assessments soon, this survey will only be posted through noon on Tuesday April 1st. To minimize incidences of multiple responses, please fill out the survey only once. Thank you for your time and commitment to responsible deer management.
