Landlocked SalmonLearn about collaborative efforts to restore salmon to the Lake Champlain fisheries.

Through the Lake Champlain Fish and Wildlife Management Cooperative, Vermont Fish & Wildlife works with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources to manage fish populations, including land-locked Atlantic salmon, in the Lake Champlain Basin. This blog series highlights collaborative efforts among these and other partners related to assessment, research, fish culture, lamprey control and habitat restoration, which together are resulting in the successful restoration of salmon in the basin.
