Fishing Tournaments in Vermont


How to Apply for a Fishing Tournament Permit
Getting your Permit is Easy - Here's How:
  • Determine if you need a permit See Permits and FAQ's >>
  • Get an Application Form. You will also need a Reporting Form which must be submitted after the Tournament. See Forms and Documents >>

  • This is a voluntary effort to coordinate scheduling to everyone's benefit. The Department does not do scheduling or reservations
  • Fill out your application form.
  • Mail the following items to the
    DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE
    111 WEST STREET
    ESSEX JUNCTION VT 05452

    • Completed Application form
    • Copies of your tournament rules and advertisements
    • Check for $50
SPECIAL NOTE - Tournaments at Vermont State Parks
If you are applying for a permit for a fishing tournament to take place at a State Park, you will need to contact the Park Regional Manager in the location of the State Park prior to the tournament. The Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation requires a Special Use Permit in order to use a State Park location. The fee for this permit is $50.00.
